Host Agency: Visionary Home Builders
University: University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law
Christine graduated with honor roll this previous spring from California State University, Stanislaus earning a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences. She is continuing her education at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law to obtain her Master of Public Administration degree.
Christine was born and raised in Stockton, California, a city with high crime and poverty rates. Being exposed to that type of environment has motivated Christine to make a change in her community. As a child, she grew up volunteering her free time to help at church events, homeless shelters, and other areas. Although her family lived in public housing and financially struggling, they still managed to give back. Christine's parents greatly influenced her and led her to her professional goal of making a difference in the community. Besides volunteering, Christine has also worked a variety of jobs that would range from her being a receptionist, tutor, barista, and manager. Her diverse background and strong work ethic have given her the advantage to adapt and understand different environments.
The CCRH Internship is giving Christine the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience at a non-profit organization in her hometown. She is eager to learn how she can help improve and create housing opportunities for low-income communities!
