Angeles Agredano
University: California State University Channel Islands

Angeles Agredano is a recent first-generation graduate of California State University,  Channel Islands, where she studied Business with minors in Economics and Spanish. Born in Ventura and raised in Oxnard, Angeles has spent most of her life in Ventura County and is passionate about giving back to the community that raised her.

Growing up in a low-income family of seven, Angeles witnessed firsthand the challenges working families face amid rising housing costs, long working hours, and limited financial resources. Seeing the sacrifices made by her parents and others in her community inspired her to become more involved in local issues and advocate for positive change. Through her participation in City Council meetings and public comment, Angeles became increasingly aware of how housing affordability affects families already struggling to make ends meet. This experience ultimately drew her to affordable housing and community development, with a particular passion for serving working and low-income families like the one she grew up in.

As a CCRH intern with Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation’s Real Estate Development team, Angeles is building the experience needed to pursue a career in affordable housing development and expand housing opportunities for families who need them most.

In her free time, Angeles can usually be found spending time with her dog, tending to her garden, getting lost in a good book, or finding yet another title to add to her ever-growing book collection.
